## FAQ

**Are the details in the licence class finder correct?**

They are checked against the German Driving Licence Regulation (FeV) as of October 2026: minimum ages under § 10, classes under § 6, progressive access from A2 to A under § 15, plus B96, B196, B197 and the age limits with initial qualification as a professional driver. The finder is tested with 15 cases checked by hand and says on the page where it stops.

**Can I remove classes or add new ones?**

Yes. The five classes are in src/data/site.ts, and the class pages come from one page template. The template-setup skill walks you through every place, including the finder rules in src/lib/finder.ts.

**Is the price display legally sound?**

The prices page shows the full set that § 32 of the German Driving Instructors Act requires for the notice board: base fee, base fee after a failed theory test, lesson, three special drives, vehicle briefing and the presentation fee for both tests. Checking the finished page remains your responsibility.

**Why no online theory and no pass guarantee?**

Compulsory theory lessons take place in the classroom under the training regulation, and the reform is not yet in force. Courts have ruled a pass guarantee misleading. The template therefore promotes what a driving school can genuinely promise.

**Are the names, prices and texts real?**

No. School, team, addresses and prices are invented and marked as examples on the page. The phone number comes from a block the German Federal Network Agency reserves for media, and the name Ampelhof has been checked against trademark and company registers.

**Why are there no portraits of the team?**

Portraits from stock libraries would present strangers as instructors. The team is shown with initials until your own photos are added.

**Can I keep the photos?**

The 17 photos come from Unsplash and may be used commercially. They do not show a real driving school. IMAGE-CREDITS.md lists photographer, profile and source for every image.

**Are a legal notice and privacy policy included?**

As placeholder pages with instructions, not as finished texts. The legal notice lists the mandatory details for a driving school up to the school licence and supervisory authority, and the privacy page describes what the website does technically.

**What happens to a request sent through the form?**

The callback form checks the input and opens the visitor's email program with the finished message. It stores and sends nothing itself. If you prefer an email service, tell your AI.

**Does the site load anything from third-party servers?**

No. Fonts and photos are in the project, the location map is a drawing of its own, the finder runs in the browser, and there are no videos and no tracking pixels.

**Does the site work without JavaScript?**

Yes. Every heading and text is there without a script, the questions are open, and below the finder the overview of all twelve classes stands as a table. Only switching the finder needs JavaScript.

**Which form of address does the template use?**

The informal you throughout, including the finder, the form and the guides. Your AI can switch to a more formal tone if your school prefers it.

**Where can I host the website?**

Anywhere static files are allowed. Astro builds the site into a folder of finished HTML that runs without a database or server script.

**Do I own the template?**

Yes. Pay once, yours forever, for your own projects and client projects. You get the complete source code without watermarks.

**Is the site included in English?**

Yes. In the English package the whole website is in English, with an English knowledge layer and English skills. Class names and rules stay German, because the school trains under German law.

**Do I need programming skills?**

No. You tell your AI in the project folder what should change, and it finds the place through CLAUDE.md and the seven skills. If you want to work by hand, you will find most content in src/data/site.ts.
