# AI Website Template Funkenmoos

> The glamping website with a Night Window that works out real darkness for every camp and night.

Funkenmoos is a complete template for glamping providers and small tour operators with four seasonal camps, with 21 pages. At its heart is the Night Window. In the browser it works out, for the chosen camp and one to seven nights, the sunset, the start and length of real darkness from the NOAA solar position, the moonlight, the night temperature as a guide value and a rating for the star night, plus a packing list for exactly those nights. The Swedish camp has no astronomical night in summer, and the site says so for every such night. Without JavaScript the darkness chart shows the hours of real darkness per camp and month. The same calculation sits on the home page as “Tonight, four skies” and in the footer of every page as the sunset in each camp. Add four camp pages from one route with their own darkness chart, a landscape filter, a comparison of the accommodation, a season bar, a drawn location map, three trips with a Wilderness Week day by day, a stay calculator starting at €574, an enquiry form that fills itself in, booking terms as a sample for package holidays and single nights, six people shown as initials and four guides.

## FAQ

**How does the Night Window know when it gets dark?**

It works it out in the browser, with the NOAA formulas for the position of the sun, for the latitude, longitude and time zone of the camp. Real darkness begins when the sun is more than 18 degrees below the horizon. Every time appears in the camp's local time. src/lib/nacht.ts calculates the lit share of the moon from the mean lunar month and a reference new moon in January 2000. The Night Window sends nothing anywhere and is still right months after the upload.

**Why does Kiefernbucht show no real night in summer?**

Because there is none. At almost 60 degrees north the sun does not sink low enough from late April to mid August, and in June and July it does not even get nautically dark. The Night Window says so for every such night, the darkness chart shows zero hours and the packing list adds a sleep mask. The home page and the camp page say the same.

**What can the Night Window not do?**

It does not know clouds, light pollution or mountains on the horizon, and it does not calculate when the moon rises or sets. The night temperature is a guide value from monthly means per camp. These limits are on the page itself, in the section on what the calculator cannot do.

**How is the packing list made?**

From the coldest of the chosen nights and the camp. Up to 3 degrees, hat and gloves are added, up to 9 degrees a warm layer, above that a light jacket. Swimwear comes in from 9 degrees at a lake or sauna, a rain jacket in the mountains, a sleep mask on light nights and, at Sternenheide, a note on the red light in the tent. The sentences live in src/data/texte.ts.

**What is on the home page and in the footer?**

Under “Tonight, four skies” the home page shows tonight's band for every camp and when it gets dark, with a note when a camp is closed. The footer of every page gives today's sunset in all four camps. Before 6 in the morning the current night still counts. Both use the same file as the Night Window.

**Does the site work without JavaScript?**

Yes. Every heading and text is there without scripts. In place of the Night Window a note links to the darkness chart, which is calculated at build time. The home page shows the season per camp, the calculator its €574 example, the landscape filter turns into jump links, the seasons stack up and the menu on the phone opens. Calculating, filtering and checking need JavaScript.

**How does the stay calculator work?**

Nightly price of the accommodation in the chosen camp times nights, plus extra bed and dog per night, tours, fire dinner and star night per person and canoe per half day. Markup and script use the same function rechne() from src/lib/rechner.ts with the prices from src/data/site.ts. It removes what the camp does not offer and says why. The starting value is two nights at Tannenhain with fire dinner and star night for two, so €574. The button sends camp and estimate to the enquiry.

**Are the trips package holidays?**

Yes, and the site says so. Weekend, Midweek Escape and Wilderness Week bundle accommodation, tours, full board and transfer, and the business is the tour operator for them under German law. Single nights and experiences are not, but from two booked tours they often are, and the calculator then says so. CLAUDE.md and the knowledge folder cover insolvency protection, the security certificate, the information form, a deposit of up to 20 percent and the cancellation scales. These notes are not legal advice.

**Are imprint, privacy policy and booking terms included?**

Imprint and privacy policy as placeholder pages with instructions, marked noindex and kept out of the sitemap until they are filled in. The imprint names the addition for tour operators and carries the photo credits, the privacy page describes what the website does technically. The booking terms are a sample with placeholders for insurer, tourist tax and date, and their figures come from src/data/site.ts. Before the first sale a lawyer for travel law checks them.

**Can people book directly on the site?**

No, there is no booking system built in. The site collects enquiries, and a person or a connected system checks which tents are free. If you use one, your AI puts its link or embed on the form and the buttons and adds it to the privacy policy and the consent dialog.

**What happens to an enquiry through the form?**

It checks the input and marks errors right at the field, and the message disappears as you type. Then it shows a confirmation and says plainly that nothing is sent in the template. The form is set up with method="post". Your AI sets up the sending, as described in the systemwissen skill.

**How do I enter our camps?**

Every camp is one entry in camps in src/data/site.ts, with its location in degrees, time zone, season, units, price, station and a table of night temperatures. From this come the camp page, Night Window, darkness chart, season bar, filter, home page and footer. What a new camp needs beyond that is in CLAUDE.md under the section on new camps.

**Does this work for a campsite or a holiday home too?**

Yes, with some rebuilding. Camps, accommodation, season, prices and enquiry carry any place to stay outdoors. Your AI renames bell tent, family tent and lodge, removes the trips and booking terms if you do not sell trips, and keeps the Night Window for your location. For pitches with live availability you connect a booking system.

**Are the names, prices and people real?**

No. Business, camps, team, prices, times and figures are made up. The site says so in the footer of every page, below the team and on every guide. The address in Usingen is a sample, and the phone number comes from the block that the German Federal Network Agency keeps free for media use. Tyrol, the Black Forest, Värmland and the Rhön dark sky reserve are real places.

**Can I keep the photos?**

The 33 photos come from Unsplash and may be used commercially, 29 of them under CC0. None is made with AI. They show neither the camps described nor the team, and for the two photos with people, neither with a recognisable face, there is no model release. src/data/bildnachweis.ts, BILDNACHWEIS.md and the imprint name the photographer and the source for every motif.

**Why does the team appear without photos?**

Because no stock photo should stand next to a real name. The six people appear as initial badges with role and camp until your own pictures taken with consent are there. The guides' training is a placeholder, so only what a certificate proves gets entered.

**Does the site load anything from third-party servers?**

No. Bricolage Grotesque and Inter live in public/fonts/, the photos in the project, and the location map, camp plan and wordmark are drawn. The browser runs the site's own JavaScript without a library, around 7 KB gzipped on the home page. The cookie dialog writes the choice to the dataLayer, and statistics and external media are not tied to any service.

**Are search engines and share images prepared?**

Yes. Every page has its own title, description and breadcrumbs, plus a TravelAgency schema with address, advice hours and price range. Every camp page carries a Campground with coordinates and amenities, and the pages add FAQPage, ContactPage, AboutPage, CollectionPage and Article. Astro builds the 1200 by 630 pixel share images at build time from a photo of each page.

**How does the template address visitors?**

With the informal you throughout, and the business speaks as we. The sentences of the components and scripts live in src/data/texte.ts and the other texte files, and the pages in src/pages/ carry their own text. Your AI switches to the formal form if your business uses it.

**How is the Night Window different from the moon band in Mondlauf?**

Mondlauf works out the lunar calendar of a yoga studio and sets dates on new and full moon. Funkenmoos works out, for one place and one night, when the sun sets, how long it is really dark and how cold it gets. The moon only counts here as brightness in the sky.

**Is the site included in English too?**

Yes. In the English package the whole website is in English, with an English knowledge layer and English skills. The scripts format dates, times, numbers and euros through the browser in the language of the page.

**Where can I host the site?**

Anywhere static files may live. Astro builds the site into a folder of finished HTML that you upload to your host. Before that, your AI sets your own domain in astro.config.mjs, src/data/site.ts and robots.txt.

**Do I own the template?**

Yes. Pay once, yours for good, for your own projects and client projects. You get the complete source code without a watermark.

**Do I need programming skills?**

No. You tell your AI in the project folder what should change, and it finds the place through CLAUDE.md and the seven skills. If you want to work on it yourself, you find camps, prices, trips and payment rules in src/data/site.ts and the sky calculation in src/lib/nacht.ts.
