## FAQ

**How does the favourite spot work?**

A floor plan shows eight places, from the window seat through the sofa corner, the reading nook, the long table, the counter, the oven bench and the tables for two to the terrace. Pick an occasion, such as sunshine, quiet, a group with its size, with a dog, with a laptop or with a pram, plus a day and a time, and one place is recommended. A sentence explains the choice from seats, sun at that hour, how busy it is and booking, and a button puts the place into the booking form. The home page shows the same plan and passes place, people and time on to the form on the subpage.

**Where does the plan get sun and how busy it is from?**

From a data file. It holds the seats, booking and sunny hours for every place, and for every hour between 8:00 and 17:00 how busy it is by day. The values in the template are samples, and the chart in the plan says so. Your AI enters your own, and you work out the sunny hours from the direction your windows face and the houses opposite.

**Which rules does the recommendation know?**

Monday is the day off, and it says so. On Saturdays between 9:00 and 12:00 the café takes no bookings, the terrace is open from April to October, the long table can be booked from six people, and laptops are welcome at the tables for two until 11:00. The booking form checks the same rules, as well as times after closing and the number of people per place.

**What does the oven schedule show?**

Six batches a day, from the Franzbrötchen at 6:30 to the tray bake at 13:30. The time given is when the tray comes out of the oven, the baking time comes before it. During a batch it says in the oven, afterwards warm for a hundred minutes. The home page names the next batch and lists all six, the pastries page shows the whole day as a timeline. There are no batches on Mondays.

**How does the cake calculator work?**

From the number of guests. It takes the cheapest combination of the three sizes with eight, twelve and sixteen slices that is enough, stacks it as a drawing into a tiered cake and names sizes, slices and price. It works out the earliest collection day with three days’ notice, a week from 28 slices, and it skips the day off. The prices are sample prices including VAT.

**How is Mummel different from the other café templates?**

Mummel is about pastries, cakes, breakfast and the spot where you eat them. Darnholt is built for roasteries that ship, Holm for coffee bars with several locations and a stamp card, Brennhoven for a long menu with a configurator, Tellhoven for coffee houses with a coffee finder. Mummel is light, in cream and marzipan with brick as its one signal colour, and it is the only one with an oven schedule and a place recommendation by occasion.

**Are the details on vegan food, allergens and prices correct?**

A subject review read menu, recipes and rules against each other. Only what does without butter, milk and egg is vegan, lactose-free does not count as vegan, and the Quark Cream Torte is set with agar instead of gelatine. The allergens are listed in a folder at the counter, and nothing is promised as free from traces, because everything comes from one bakehouse. All prices are final prices including VAT. Before going live you check every detail for your own business.

**How do I enter our café, menu and opening hours?**

Name, address, opening hours, menu, oven batches, places, how busy it is, testimonials, evenings and cakes live in src/data/site.ts, the kicker, headline and description of every page in src/data/seiten.ts, the articles in src/data/journal.ts. A price is entered there once and appears on the menu, the breakfast page and the tray. Your AI updates every spot, and the start skill asks for the details in four rounds.

**Can people book or order directly on the site?**

The forms for bookings, cakes, evenings and contact check their fields and then show a confirmation that openly says nothing has been sent yet. There is no booking or ordering system built in. Your AI sets up sending or the connection to your provider and adds it to the privacy policy and consent.

**Are the names, prices and testimonials real?**

No. The café, the pastry chef, her colleague, the guests, prices, dates, key figures and how busy it is are made up. The page says so where it matters, with sample quote, sample prices, sample dates and sample values, and in the footer of every page. Kringelgrube does not exist, while Lübeck, its old town island and the Kohlmarkt bus stop are real places.

**Who is in the photos?**

Pastries, cups, rooms and strangers in sample photos from Pexels. The licence allows commercial use, a model release is not available. That is why the pastry chef and the counter staff only appear through their hands, and those spots carry a note for you to put in your own photos. Guests in the photos have no names.

**Can I keep the photos?**

The 39 photos come from Pexels and may be used commercially. src/data/bildnachweis.json names the photographer and source of every image, and the legal notice lists all names. One photo shows cinnamon sugar pastry in place of the Franzbrötchen, and the pastries page carries a note asking you to use your own. The wordmark, floor plan, tray, cake and route sketch are drawings made for the template.

**Are legal notice and privacy policy included?**

As placeholder pages with instructions, not as pre-written legal texts, and marked noindex and left out of the sitemap until they are filled in. The instructions name what belongs there for a café, such as the address, the VAT number, the forms with their legal basis and retention period and why allergy details are better discussed at the counter. The image credits follow below. These notes are not legal advice.

**Does the site load anything from third-party servers?**

No. Young Serif and DM Sans live in public/fonts/, the photos in the project, the route sketch is drawn, and no map is embedded. The cookie banner writes the choice to the dataLayer, statistics and external media are not tied to any service. Your Instagram profile appears in the footer and the schema as soon as it is entered.

**Are search engines and share images prepared?**

Yes. Every page has its own title and description, plus a schema for the café with address, opening hours from the data file and menu, and the articles carry BlogPosting. The share images at 1200 by 630 pixels are created at build time from a photo of each page.

**Does the site work without JavaScript?**

Yes. Every heading and every text is there without scripts. The favourite spot then shows a table of the places with seats, light and booking and a fixed recommendation per occasion, the cake calculator a table of sizes, the tray a preset selection, the menu all chapters one below the other, and questions and the navigation on the phone open too. The recommendation by time, the oven status and the filters come in with JavaScript.

**How does the template address visitors?**

With the informal you throughout, and the café speaks as we. The sentences that a script writes are collected in src/data/texte.ts. Your AI switches to the formal you if your house addresses guests that way.

**Does this work for a bakery, an ice cream parlour or a tea room too?**

The structure does. A filtered menu, an oven schedule, a floor plan with a recommendation, an order calculator, evening events and a journal carry any place where people sit and eat something homemade. Your AI renames batches, places and flavours and takes out what does not fit. For a roastery that ships, Darnholt is closer.

**Where can I host the site?**

Anywhere static files may live. Astro builds the site into a folder of finished HTML that you upload to your host. Before that your AI sets your own domain in astro.config.mjs and robots.txt.

**Do I own the template?**

Yes. Pay once, yours for good, for your own projects and client projects. You get the complete source code without a watermark.

**Is the site included in English too?**

Yes. In the English package the whole website is in English, with an English knowledge layer and English skills. Scripts format prices, times and weekdays in the language of the page.

**Do I need programming skills?**

No. You tell your AI in the project folder what should change, and it finds the place through CLAUDE.md and the seven skills. If you want to make changes yourself, menu, hours and places live in src/data/site.ts.
