# AI Website Template Schichtgrund

> The website for painting workshops in period buildings that open a survey before the brush.

Schichtgrund is a complete template for painting workshops with restoration, homes and commercial work in period buildings, with 20 pages. At its heart is a survey window that draws the coats of paint on a wall, from the newest layer down to the first finish, stepped into each other. While visitors read the list of layers, the layer in question stands out, with its year, binder, shade and the verdict on what stays and what comes off. It appears twice on the site, for a stairwell wall on the home page and for a stucco ceiling on the stucco and lime page. Add six services in three areas, six projects with survey, map and filter, a calculator for box windows, doors and stairs, a flat calculator with the plaster finish levels Q1 to Q4, a stairwell plan for property managers, a weekend plan for practices, a light test with six whites, four fully written guides and a workshop page with a floor plan.

## FAQ

**What does the survey window show?**

The coats of paint on a period wall from the newest layer down to the first finish, drawn stepped into each other. On the home page it is a stairwell wall with emulsion, latex, lime and distemper over lime plaster, on the stucco and lime page a ceiling with three coats of distemper under emulsion over the stucco. Each layer comes with its year, binder, shade and a note on whether it stays or comes off.

**How does the survey window move?**

As visitors scroll through the list of layers, the layer whose entry sits at the reading line stands out, and pointing at an entry selects it too. Without JavaScript and with reduced motion every layer stands there equally, and the list carries the whole content.

**How do I enter our own surveys?**

Both survey windows read their layers from src/data/site.ts, with year, material, shade, colour value and note for each layer. Your AI enters the surveys from your projects there, and window and list follow on their own.

**How is Schichtgrund different from Kalkblau?**

Kalkblau is built for painters who advise with their own palette and a wall trial. Schichtgrund is for workshops in period buildings that restore, paint flats and work for property managers, practices and offices, with the survey at its centre.

**What does a property manager get to see?**

The facades and stairwells page shows a stairwell in five stages from the survey to the flat doors, with the layer plan for the owners’ meeting and nine weeks in the Musikviertel on a slider. A guide explains the process with the property manager step by step.

**Do the calculators use our prices?**

As soon as you enter them. The service prices are in src/data/site.ts, and the window calculator and the flat calculator keep their rates on their service page. Your AI enters your figures in one go.

**Does the template suit a firm without restoration work?**

Yes. The six services are listed in src/data/site.ts, each with its own page. Whatever you do not offer, your AI removes along with its page, navigation and links, and the template-aufbau skill describes how.

**Are the technical details correct?**

Yes. Lime, silicate and linseed oil paint, application temperatures, the order of work on box windows, lead in old coats, the statutory warranty and the Saxon law on listed buildings have been checked by a specialist, as of October 2026.

**Are the names, figures, projects and testimonials real?**

No. Workshop, team, prices, projects, key figures and testimonials are made up and marked as examples on the site. The phone number comes from the block the German Federal Network Agency keeps free for media use, and the name Schichtgrund has been checked against trademark registers, companies and domains.

**Why are there no faces in the team photos?**

Stock photos would present strangers as your team. Beside the names you see hands, brushes and tools until your own photos are in.

**Can I keep the photos?**

The photos come from Pexels and Unsplash and may be used commercially. They do not show a real business or real building sites. The image credits in the legal notice name the photographer, source and licence of every image.

**Are a legal notice and privacy policy included?**

As placeholder pages with instructions. The legal notice lists the details a painting business must give plus the image credits, and the privacy page describes what the website does technically. Both are set to noindex until your texts are in.

**What happens to an enquiry through the form?**

The form checks the entries and shows error messages right at the field. It is marked as a draft and needs a recipient before going live, which your AI connects.

**Does the site load anything from third-party servers?**

No. Fonts and photos live in the project, maps, floor plans and charts are drawn in code, and there are no tracking pixels and no videos. The consent banner is ready in case you add an analytics service later.

**Does the site work without JavaScript?**

Yes. Every heading and text is there without scripts, the questions are open, the survey window shows every layer, and the calculators show their example.

**How does the template address visitors?**

With the formal you throughout, as is usual in the trade with property managers and owners. Your AI switches the texts to the informal you in one go if your firm addresses customers that way.

**Do I own the template?**

Yes. Pay once, yours for good, for your own projects and client projects. You get the complete source code without watermarks. Astro builds the site into a folder of finished HTML that runs anywhere static files are allowed.

**Is the site included in English too?**

Yes. In the English package the whole website is in English, with an English knowledge layer and English skills. Statutes and authority names stay German because the workshop works under German law.

**Do I need programming skills?**

No. You tell your AI in the project folder what should change, and it finds the place through CLAUDE.md and the seven skills. If you want to make changes yourself, you will find most content in src/data/site.ts and src/data/ratgeber.ts.
