# AI Website Template Sonnensaal

> The yoga studio website with a Sun Path that works out the light in the hall for every class.

Sonnensaal is a complete template for yoga studios in a bright, high-ceilinged hall, with 21 pages. At its heart is the Sun Path. For any date it works out the real position of the sun above the studio at the start of every class and says whether the class falls in daylight, twilight or the dark, which of the five south arches the sun comes through and how far its light reaches across the floorboards. Without JavaScript a year table for the 15th of every month stands in its place. Plus a timetable with 29 classes, filters by class and teacher and special dates, a mat counter with average values, a class finder in three questions, an Online Library with a live countdown, one-to-one sessions with body areas to tap, a price calculator from 1 to 12 visits a month, five teachers as initials instead of photos, a Yin Night at the winter solstice and a summer retreat as package travel, a journal with four posts and a contact page with drawn directions.

## FAQ

**How does the Sun Path know the position of the sun?**

It works it out in the browser, with the formulas of the US weather agency NOAA, for the latitude, longitude and time zone of the studio from src/data/site.ts. That gives the sun's altitude, its direction, sunrise and sunset and civil twilight, accurate to about one minute. At build time only the year table is fixed in the HTML, everything with today's date is calculated by the browser, so the page is still right months after uploading.

**How does the Sun Path arrive at the arch and the depth?**

The hall is described as a data field, with the direction of the window front, the number of arches, the height of the crown of the arches, the depth of the room and the sun altitude below which the courtyard wall and trees hide the sun. The direction gives the arch, the crown height divided by the tangent of the sun's altitude gives the depth of the light, limited to the depth of the hall. If you have other windows, you change these figures, not the calculation.

**Does the site promise sun in every class?**

No, quite the opposite. The Sun Path shows honestly that the morning class starts before sunrise from October to February and that the evening classes are in the dark in winter. The texts in the journal and on the home page are checked against the same calculation, and no sentence claims light that does not exist at that time of day.

**What does the mat counter show?**

An average, not live occupancy. For each time of day it shows how many of the 14 mats are usually free in autumn, and the page says so below the counter. It takes the next class from the real timetable in Berlin time. If you use a booking system, have your AI connect the real occupancy there.

**How do I enter our timetable?**

Every class is one line in plan in src/data/site.ts, with day, time, class, teacher and room. From it come the timetable, the Sun Path, the mat counter, “Today in the hall” in header and footer, the teacher matrix, the times in the class finder and the choice in the contact form. Cancellations and special dates are separate fields beside it and work in all of these places.

**May a yoga studio advertise with health?**

Yoga as an exercise offer is not covered by the German law on advertising for medicines and therapies, advertising that it relieves complaints is. The texts therefore describe the practice and promise no effect, and no example testimonial names a cure. The physiotherapist in the example team expressly teaches yoga, the text says that Gentle Back is no substitute for treatment, and with new pain the way to the doctor comes before the class.

**Does health insurance pay for the classes?**

No, and the site says so. The questions explain that German statutory health insurers only pay towards courses certified by the Zentrale Prüfstelle Prävention under § 20 SGB V, and that the template's classes are not. If you have certified courses, have your AI enter the certification number and the note in the right place.

**How are memberships, pass and free trial worded?**

As German consumer contract law requires. The studio memberships run for at least three months and can then be cancelled at the end of any month, the online membership from the start. The library's free trial names the price afterwards, €24, everywhere, the 10-class pass is valid for twelve months and prices are final prices including VAT. CLAUDE.md explains when a cancellation button under § 312k BGB becomes necessary. These notes are not legal advice.

**Is the summer retreat package travel?**

Yes, accommodation, full board and yoga together are package travel. The site therefore names the standard information form and the insolvency protection certificate before the first payment, a deposit of €120 on €640, a graded cancellation scale and the substitute. The Yin Night in the studio's own hall is not travel and appears with date and time as an Event in the schema.

**Are the names, prices and testimonials real?**

No. Studio, teachers, prices, times, history, occupancy, retreats and testimonials are invented, the testimonials carry the note “example testimonial”, figures and bars “Example values of the template”, and the footer of every page says it again. Tuchhändlerweg does not exist in Potsdam, and the phone number comes from the block the German Federal Network Agency keeps free for media. Potsdam, the Brandenburger Vorstadt and Sanssouci are real surroundings.

**Who are the people in the photos?**

Strangers in sample images from Pexels. The licence allows commercial use, there is no model release from the people shown. That is why the team appears with initials instead of portraits, and no face stands beside a name. Before going live you replace the photos with people by your own pictures with written consent.

**Can I keep the photos?**

The 49 photos come from Pexels and may be used commercially. They do not show a real studio. src/data/bildnachweis.ts, IMAGE-CREDITS.md and the legal notice name the photographer and source for every image. The path of the sun, the cross-section, the floor plan, the directions and the wordmark are the template's own drawings.

**Are the legal notice and privacy policy included?**

As placeholder pages with instructions, not as pre-written legal texts, and until they are filled in with noindex and without an entry in the sitemap. The legal notice lists the details a yoga studio must give and names the photographers below, the privacy page describes what the website does technically and what it stores in the browser.

**What happens to an enquiry sent through the forms?**

The contact form and Post from the Hall check the entries and mark errors right at the field. Then they show a confirmation, nothing is sent yet, and the page says so. The form asks for no health data. Your AI sets up sending and, for the newsletter, the double opt-in.

**Does the site load anything from other servers?**

No. Instrument Serif and Crimson Pro are in public/fonts/, the photos in the project, the path of the sun, cross-section, floor plan and directions are SVG, and Instagram is a plain link. Your own JavaScript runs in the browser without a library. The cookie dialogue writes the choice into the dataLayer, statistics and external media are tied to no service.

**Are search engines and sharing images prepared?**

Yes. Every page has its own title, description and breadcrumbs, plus a schema for the studio with address, opening hours per class and price range. The pages add FAQPage, Event, Blog and BlogPosting. Astro builds the sharing images at 1200 by 630 pixels from a photo of each page.

**Does the site work without JavaScript?**

Yes. Every heading and every text is there without a script. The Sun Path then shows the year table, the timetable all seven days with special dates, “Today in the hall” shows Monday, the questions are open and the calculator shows its result for four visits. The menu on the phone opens too. Date, filters, slider and countdown need JavaScript.

**Which form of address does the template use?**

Informal “you” throughout, the studio speaks as “we”. The sentences of the components and scripts are in src/data/texte.ts and src/data/site.ts, the pages under src/pages/ carry their own texts. Your AI switches the German edition to the formal “Sie” if your studio uses it.

**What sets Sonnensaal apart from Mondlauf, Strandkamille and Kornrose?**

All four are yoga studios with a timetable and a price calculator. Mondlauf plans the week around evenings at the new and full moon, Strandkamille answers the question of the next class from now, Kornrose leads into the right format with its format finder. Sonnensaal answers the question of when which class falls in the light, and suits studios whose room is itself the argument.

**Our studio has no south-facing windows. Does Sonnensaal still fit?**

Yes. Direction, number of windows, lintel height and depth are figures in src/data/site.ts, the template-setup skill asks for them and then checks the year table. A room without direct light gets twilight and darkness per class, or your AI takes out the Sun Path and keeps the timetable.

**Where can I host the site?**

Anywhere static files are allowed. Astro builds the site into a folder of finished HTML that you upload to your host. Before that, your AI sets your own domain in astro.config.mjs and in robots.txt.

**Do I own the template?**

Yes. Pay once, yours forever, for your own projects and client projects. You get the complete source code without a watermark.

**Is the site included in English?**

Yes. In the English package the whole website is English, with an English knowledge layer and English skills. Dates, numbers and euros are formatted by the browser in the language of the page, British English with €12 and 7:00.

**Do I need programming skills?**

No. You tell your AI in the project folder what should change, and it finds the place through CLAUDE.md and the seven skills. If you want to do it yourself, you find classes, timetable, team, prices and journal in src/data/site.ts and the sun calculation in src/lib/sonne.ts.
