## FAQ

**Does the deadline calculator count correctly?**

It counts under § 187(1) and § 188 BGB, shifts the end under § 193 BGB and § 222(2) ZPO over Saturday, Sunday and the nationwide public holidays, and is tested with hand-checked cases such as Good Friday and Christmas. It deliberately leaves out regional holidays so that it never shows a date that is too late, and the page says so.

**Can I add my own deadlines to the calculator?**

Yes, with your AI. Each deadline is one entry in src/lib/fristen.ts with event, duration, statute and note. The calculator, the overview table and the area pages read from it, so a new entry appears everywhere.

**Can I drop areas of law or add new ones?**

Yes. The four areas live in src/data/site.ts, and the area pages are built from one page template. The template-setup skill walks through every place, including the timeline, which has its own stations per area.

**Is the advertising compliant with professional rules?**

The template advertises factually in line with § 43b BRAO, names specialist titles only where they are held, does without success rates and client testimonials and explains this with confidentiality. The copywriting skill lists the limits that apply when rewriting. Checking the finished site remains with you.

**Are the legal details correct?**

Yes. Deadlines, statutes, the cap on the initial consultation under § 34 RVG, the cost rules under § 12a ArbGG, § 91 ZPO and § 150 FamFG and the requirements of the specialist lawyer regulations are checked against the law as of October 2026. The guides are marked as example texts and do not replace advice on an individual case.

**Are the names, prices and texts real?**

No. Firm, lawyers, prices and figures are invented and marked as examples on the page. The phone number comes from a block the Federal Network Agency keeps free for media use, and the name Treuwald has been checked against trademark and company registers.

**Why is there no gavel and no portraits?**

German courts do not use a gavel, and on a German law firm website lawyers notice it at once. Portraits from stock libraries would present strangers as lawyers. The team therefore appears with initials until your own photos are added.

**Can I keep the photos?**

The 11 photos come from Pexels and Unsplash and may be used commercially. They show no real law firm and no real clients. IMAGE-CREDITS.md names the photographer, source and licence of every image.

**Are a legal notice and privacy policy included?**

As placeholder pages with instructions, not as finished texts. The legal notice lists the mandatory details of a German law firm down to professional liability insurance and the bar association, and the privacy page describes what the website does technically.

**What happens to an enquiry sent through the form?**

The form checks the input and opens the visitor's mail program with the finished message. It stores and sends nothing itself. If you prefer a mail service, tell your AI, and the privacy page names what then belongs there.

**Does the site load anything from third-party servers?**

No. Fonts and photos live in the project, the calculator runs in the browser, and there are no maps, no videos and no tracking pixels. Consent is prepared in case you add an analytics service later.

**Does the site work without JavaScript?**

Yes. Every heading and every text is there without a script, the questions are open, and the overview of all deadlines is a table on the calculator page. Only the calculation itself needs JavaScript.

**Which form of address does the template use?**

The German original uses the formal Sie throughout, in the calculator, the form and the guides. The English edition addresses visitors as you.

**Where can I host the website?**

Anywhere that serves static files. Astro builds the site into a folder of finished HTML that runs without a database and without server scripts.

**Do I own the template?**

Yes. Pay once, yours forever, for your own projects and client projects. You get the complete source code without watermarks.

**Is the site included in English too?**

Yes. In the English package the whole website is in English, with English knowledge files and English skills. The statute references stay German, because the firm advises on German law.

**Do I need programming skills?**

No. You tell your AI in the project folder what should change, and it finds the place through CLAUDE.md and the seven skills. If you want to edit by hand, most content lives in src/data/site.ts.
