Senior Backend Engineer, Scheduling

What you will do

• Design and run the availability service that answers 900 requests a second
• Turn practice rules like buffers, rooms and shared staff into clear, testable code
• Pair with product design on features before a single line is written
• Lead the on-call rotation for scheduling, one week in six

What you bring

• Five or more years building backend systems in production
• Good judgement about data models that will still make sense in three years
• Calm communication in writing, our team spans three cities
• Nice to have: experience with Go, Postgres and event driven systems

The team

Six engineers, one designer and a product lead, spread between Berlin and Lisbon. We plan in six week cycles, write decisions down and keep Fridays free of meetings.
