What founders ask us before the first meeting

Henrik Albers

Tax advisor

Your question is missing? Send it to me, I answer within one working day.

When do I need a tax advisor?

At the latest with the first VAT return. Many come before they start, so the legal form fits from day one.

What does advice cost in the first year?

For sole traders usually between 900 and 1,600 euros, depending on the number of receipts. We name the range in writing beforehand.

Can I do the bookkeeping myself?

Yes, and it saves money. We set up the software with you and check once a quarter that everything is right.

How much should I set aside for taxes?

In the first year a third of every paid invoice. From the second year we work it out with you more precisely.

Is the small business rule worth it?

Often yes for private customers. If you sell to companies you are usually better off without it. We calculate both ways for you.

What happens if I miss a deadline?

Usually a late fee. Tell us early and we apply for an extension while there is still time.
