Terms and conditions

This is a translation of our German terms and conditions, provided for convenience. The German version is the legally binding one, and the contract is governed by German law.

These terms and conditions apply to all purchases of AI Website Templates (digital website templates with a guideline, a knowledge folder and skills) through the checkout of this website, and to the AI Website Service (section 9). They apply to consumers and to businesses alike. Deviating terms of the buyer do not become part of the contract.

2. Formation of the contract

The presentation of the templates on this website is a non-binding invitation to order. When you click the buy button you are forwarded to the payment provider Stripe. The purchase contract is formed when you complete the order process at Stripe with the order button that carries a payment obligation and the payment is confirmed. The contract language is German or English, depending on the checkout language you chose. After your purchase you receive an order confirmation from Stripe by email.

3. Prices and payment

The prices shown on the website at the time of your order apply. All prices are final prices and include statutory VAT. For orders from Germany and the rest of the EU, German VAT currently applies, because we use the simplification rule for distance sales below the EU turnover threshold. No German VAT applies to orders from outside the EU; the final price shown remains unaffected. Payment is made through Stripe with the payment methods offered there. The purchase is a one-off payment: no subscription is created and no follow-up costs arise. You automatically receive an invoice as a PDF by email for every purchase.

4. Provision of the template

The template is made available for download immediately after successful payment (ZIP file, German and English edition) on the confirmation page, and is additionally sent by email. For security reasons download links are valid for a short time only. Please save the ZIP locally after downloading; on request to hello@ai-website.com we will provide the download again at any time.

5. Rights of use

On full payment you receive a simple, unlimited right to use the template you bought. You may use it for your own projects and for client projects, adapt it, and operate the websites created from it without restriction. You may not resell, give away, lease or distribute the template or substantial parts of it as a template, website builder or boilerplate, or in competition with our offering. The sample photos contained in the template are royalty-free placeholders without a model release and must be replaced with your own images for productive use.

6. Right of withdrawal for consumers

In distance contracts, consumers generally have a fourteen-day right of withdrawal. For contracts on the supply of digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, the right of withdrawal expires pursuant to Sec. 356(5) BGB if we have begun to perform the contract after you have expressly agreed that we begin performance before the withdrawal period expires, and you have confirmed your awareness that by giving that agreement you lose your right of withdrawal when performance begins.

In the checkout you expressly agree to the immediate provision of the template and confirm your awareness that your right of withdrawal expires when provision begins.

Withdrawal instructions

Right of withdrawal. You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day the contract was concluded. To exercise your right of withdrawal you must inform us (quik UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Nievenheimerstraße 35, 50739 Köln, Germany, email: hello@ai-website.com) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (for example an email). To meet the withdrawal deadline it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal. If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse you all payments received from you without undue delay and no later than fourteen days from the day on which we receive notification of your withdrawal from this contract. For this reimbursement we use the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you; in no case will you be charged any fees for this reimbursement.

Model withdrawal form

If you wish to withdraw from the contract, you can fill in this form and send it back to us. This is not mandatory, an informal statement is enough.

7. Warranty

The statutory provisions on the supply of digital products apply (Sec. 327 ff. BGB). Descriptions of the templates on the sales pages are statements of characteristics, not guarantees. To adapt the templates with AI tools you need your own access to the respective services (for example Claude); such access is not part of the template.

Updates. The template is provided once. If you are a consumer, we provide you for twelve months from purchase with the updates that are necessary to maintain conformity with the contract (Sec. 327f BGB). We inform you about them by email to the address you gave when buying. We do not owe further development with new functions. Once you have rebuilt the template for your own brand, maintaining your version is up to you; that is the other side of the code belonging entirely to you.

What a template is not. It is not a ready-made web presence. Hosting, domain, legal texts and your own content are yours to bring. The sample texts, sample images and customer voices marked as "example" are placeholders and must be replaced before you publish.

8. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, as well as under the German Product Liability Act and for injury to life, body or health. In cases of simple negligence we are liable only for the breach of material contractual obligations (obligations whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose observance you may regularly rely), limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract. Liability is otherwise excluded.

9. AI Website Service

The AI Website Service is a service in which we rebuild a template of your choice around your content and take your website live. It is not bought through the checkout but commissioned after a free introductory call.

Formation. After the call you receive an offer in text form. The contract is formed when you accept that offer. The introductory call itself is non-binding and free of charge.

Scope. Included are a template from the marketplace, an appointment to define structure, content and goal, the rebuild around your content, going live including setting up the domain and hosting with your own provider, one hour of handover, and four weeks of support by email after going live. Domain and hosting themselves are not included; you conclude those contracts directly with your provider and pay them there.

Your part. We need your content, that is texts as bullet points, logo and images, as well as access to your hosting and domain account for the setup. If you provide them late, the schedule shifts accordingly. You are responsible for the lawfulness of the content you supply, in particular for image rights and legal texts.

Price and payment. The price is €799 including statutory VAT and is invoiced after you commission the work. No subscription is created; once the four weeks of support have passed, no further costs arise.

Rights in the result. On full payment you receive the same rights of use in the template as with an individual purchase (section 5), as well as the unrestricted right to operate and change the website created from it.

Withdrawal for services. If you are a consumer, you also have a fourteen-day right of withdrawal here. If you wish us to begin work before the withdrawal period expires, you tell us so expressly. In that case, if you withdraw, you owe a reasonable amount for the service provided up to that point. If we only begin after the period has expired, the question does not arise.

10. Final provisions

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Towards consumers this choice of law applies only insofar as it does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of habitual residence. We are neither obliged nor willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
