New in the marketplace Brennhoven. For houses with a menu longer than the patience at the counter
Brennhoven is the template for coffee houses with several locations and their own roastery. Seventeen pages in light periwinkle and mocha, with a taste configurator that returns a suggestion with a match rate in three steps, and a page that opens up the arithmetic behind it.

Twenty four drinks, eight seconds of patience, and in the end always
Read the full story
A coffee house with its own roastery has a problem a small café does not. The menu is too long. Twenty four drinks in four variants each is ninety six possibilities, and the guest at the counter has eight seconds for that.
So they order what they always order. Everything the roastery puts into a batch never reaches them. The menu grows, the order stays the same.
Brennhoven turns that around. The configurator asks three things and returns a suggestion with a percentage. The page about the model then opens up the arithmetic, line by line, and names six things it deliberately does not know.
The pattern fits any business with a choice bigger than the customer's patience. A wine merchant, a tea shop, an ice cream parlour with rotating flavours. Anywhere somebody asks: what should I have?

Scroll through the homepage
The Brennhoven homepage travels as you scroll. Each stop explains why a section is built the way it is.
- 01
A stage instead of an image banner
The opening is a product disc on light periwinkle, with floating icons beside it and a cookie on a second disc. No text sits on a photograph, and the heading stands on a quiet surface.
- 02
Two typefaces, one hierarchy
Fraunces carries the headings and every figure, Inter carries the rest. The change of typeface is the hierarchy, which is why no heading needs a second colour.
- 03
One signal colour, measured
Mocha is the only accent colour. Every text colour reaches at least 4.5:1 against every surface it appears on. The measured values are in the style guide in full.
- 04
Two text columns, no wandering
There is the regular column and the reading column, nothing else. Two column sections have exactly one ratio. The left edge stays put as you page through.
- 05
Complete without a script
Every figure and every calculator result is in the markup, not put there by a script. Switch JavaScript off and you get a complete page instead of a row of zeros.
Not one page. All of them
You are not buying a homepage full of promises, you are buying a complete website. Every subpage is fully designed and written.
Ninety six possibilities on the menu, and the guest still asks
The taste configurator answers that in three steps. Mood, time of day, three sliders. Out comes a drink with a percentage, and the next page shows how that number came about.
- Three steps, no account
Tap a mood, confirm the time of day, move the strength and sweetness sliders. The suggestion appears in the browser, with no sign up and nothing stored.
- A number that means something
Every suggestion carries a match rate. At sixty percent the tool is also telling you it is not sure. That is exactly what makes it believable.
- The arithmetic sits next to it
On the AI page the same calculation runs with three bars and a total. Anyone who wants to know why gets it line by line instead of in a slogan.
- Six things it does not know
Location, calendar, contacts, weather, ad IDs and what somebody drinks elsewhere. The list is on the page, not buried in the privacy policy.

Who Brennhoven is built for
A template gets good by making choices. Brennhoven is tailored to one niche, and honest about where it does not fit.
Built for
- Coffee houses with several locations where the same menu applies everywhere and the guest wants to know where there is room right now.
- Roasteries with a café attached that want to explain why one batch tastes different from the last.
- Businesses with a choice bigger than the patience at the counter. A wine merchant, a tea shop, an ice cream parlour with rotating flavours.
- Anyone with a loyalty scheme who wants to make it something you can work out rather than something you claim.
Not meant for
- The café with one room and eight items on the menu. If there is nothing to sort you do not need a sorter, and the configurator then looks like a form standing in front of the order. Darnholt fits better for that.
- Roasteries that mainly ship beans. There is no basket here, no shipping costs and no tiering by grind.
- Chains from about ten branches upwards. The locations page is drawn for four houses, and beyond that the map turns into a search with a postcode.
- Businesses that do not want to recommend anything at all. Without the configurator you are left with fourteen good pages, but the selling point is gone.

At home on the phone
More than half of all visitors arrive on a phone, in emergencies almost all of them. Brennhoven is built for that, not squeezed into it.

More than a pretty surface
Brennhoven ships with its knowledge and the seven skills, so your AI understands the website instead of guessing it apart.
Quick answers
It works without it, but then it is a different product. Take the configurator and the AI page out and you are left with fourteen good pages for a coffee house. What makes it special is gone. The start skill walks you through the question before you delete anything.
No. The configurator calculates in the browser using the four axes on every drink. There is no model, no server and no key. That is deliberate: a draft should show how it feels, not create running costs.
Yes, they sit as a list in one file. Every drink needs a category, a price, caffeine, sweetness, temperature and at least one mood. Leave out an axis and it will never be suggested, and that is in the checklist in the package too.
Then you cut the location list down to one entry. The drawn map is built for four pins, so you swap it for the single house section. The busy hours chart stands on its own. The template-setup skill describes the route.
As placeholder pages on noindex, with a list of what belongs in them and the technical truth about the template. Ready made legal texts are deliberately not included. A copied text rarely describes what applies to you, and that is exactly where the warnings come from.
The images come from Unsplash and may be used commercially. Nineteen of the fifty five show recognisable people, and there is no model release for them. Which ones is in the image credits. Swap them for your own photographs before going live.
Informal, throughout, including in forms and error messages. The address sits only in the copy and the data files, never in the building blocks. Switching to a formal register is therefore text work, not rebuilding work.
No. Match rate, ratings, team size, reusable cup rate and every price are example values, and the site says so itself in the legal notice. The package contains a full list so none of them survives the rebuild.
Node from version 22 and web space that serves static files. No PHP, no database, no build on the server. The built folder goes up, nothing else.
Yes, for one project, with no time limit, no subscription and no attribution requirement. You may rebuild and publish it however you like. What you may not do is resell it as a template. For several projects of your own you need one licence each.
Yes, as a second package with the same website in German, its own knowledge layer and German skills. Both versions come from the same source so they cannot drift apart.
Yes, fully readable. Every figure and every calculator result is in the markup, not put there by a script. That is verified by a run that loads every page twice and compares what disappears without the script.
Every text colour reaches at least 4.5:1 against every surface it can appear on, measured and documented in the style guide. Plus a visible focus everywhere, keyboard operation for the menu, tabs, filters and configurator, and a reduced motion setting that leaves nothing invisible.
