Websites for Life Coaches, What They Look Like in 2026

Life coaching has a credibility problem that other coaching fields do not. That is why the website decides earlier than elsewhere whether someone books a call or clicks away.

Life coaching faces a hurdle that specialist coaching does not. The term is vague, the training programs vary widely, and many prospects have already seen a website that was too fuzzy for them. Your own site therefore has to get specific earlier than in other fields.

The first decision, who it is for

The most common mistake on life coaching sites is the fear of narrowing down. “I accompany people through processes of change” excludes nobody and therefore speaks to nobody.

Those who commit win. Commit to a life situation rather than a method.

  • People between two chapters of their working life
  • Parents who do not want to return to where they were after parental leave
  • Managers who function at work and have stopped functioning at home
  • People after a breakup who are putting their life back in order

These sentences are uncomfortable, because they exclude others. That is exactly why they work. Anyone who recognizes themselves keeps reading.

The pages

Five to seven are enough.

  1. Homepage. Who it is for, what changes, how it works, voices, one route to a call.
  2. Offer. One page per format. One-to-one guidance and a group program speak to different people.
  3. About me. The most important building block of trust in this field.
  4. Voices. Testimonials with a starting point.
  5. Contact or appointment booking.
  6. Legal notice (Impressum, required in Germany) and privacy policy.

What belongs on the about page

In life coaching this page is read more often than elsewhere, often straight after the homepage. Here is what works.

Your own reason, briefly. Many life coaches come out of a turning point of their own. That can appear, in two to three sentences. What does not work is your whole life story as running text.

Your training, matter-of-fact. Institute, scope, year. Plain statements, free of superlatives.

How you work. Two to three sentences on how a session actually runs. That removes uncertainty.

A real photo. Skip the stock image and the shot of you from behind by a lake.

The language trap

Life coaching websites slide into empty phrases more easily than others. These words appear on a great many sites and say nothing.

Holistic, mindful, on equal footing, authentic, tailored, unfolding your potential, the path of the heart, stepping into your power.

The test is simple. Strike them and read the text again. If hardly anything is left, the text was not finished yet. What helps are concrete sentences about concrete situations. “On Sunday evening, Monday already sits in your stomach” works, “Find your way back to yourself” does not.

The price

Life coaches state prices less often than other coaches, often out of worry about seeming too expensive. The effect is the opposite. Anyone who names nothing is assumed to be more expensive than they are, and gets inquiries from people who could not picture the offer anyway.

A range is enough, with one sentence on what it depends on.

The route to a call

In life coaching the hurdle to first contact is higher than in specialist fields, because it is personal. These things lower it.

A free discovery call with a clear length. “Twenty minutes, no obligation, by video or phone” is concrete enough to get booked.

Direct appointment booking. Every follow-up question by email costs bookings.

One line on what happens in the discovery call. People are reluctant to book something when they do not know how it will go.

What you can leave out

A blog, if you will not keep it up. A newsletter, if you do not write regularly. A page about your method, if it does not explain what the client gains from it. Everything you plan to “fill in at some point”.

A small, complete website makes a stronger impression than a large one full of construction sites.

The complete setup is in the guide how to build a coaching website, and the patterns of working sites are in twelve patterns that build trust. Every one of the coaching website templates is in the marketplace. For life coaching, three stand out there. Solborn is the warm presence for coaching that sells closeness, Hellwach is for mindset coaching free of clichés, and Nordstett is the coaching practice with the one italic word that sticks.

Frequently asked questions

Mainly in the burden of proof. Business coaching can point to roles and industries, while life coaching works with personal change that is harder to demonstrate. That is why concrete starting situations and real voices carry even more weight here than elsewhere.

Mention it, yes, but keep it out of the spotlight. Clients are looking for someone who understands their situation, not for a certificate. Your training belongs on the about page, not in the first line of the homepage.

Describe the change instead of the method. "I work with people who function at work and have stopped functioning at home" says more than any method label and sets you apart at the same time.

Appointment booking, if you offer free discovery calls. The path from "interested" to "the call is booked" should work without any back and forth by email, because every follow-up question causes drop-offs.
