A custom connector in the settings, or one command for Claude Code.
- In Claude open Settings and then Connectors. On Team and Enterprise an owner adds the connector under Organization settings, Connectors, and members connect it.
- Name it UI Kit by ai-website.com, paste the address and leave authentication empty. The server needs no sign in.
- In a new chat open the tools menu under the input and switch the UI Kit on. Claude now calls the tools by itself when your request needs them.

In the chat the tools menu lists the UI Kit with its tools. In Claude Code, /mcp shows the server as connected.

- Open Settings, Apps and then Advanced settings. Switch on developer mode, it lets you add apps from your own MCP servers.
- Choose Create app. Name it UI Kit by ai-website.com, paste the address as MCP server URL, choose No authentication and tick I trust this application.
- In a new chat choose the app with the plus button next to the input. ChatGPT now calls the tools of the kit while it answers.
The app shows up under the plus button, and an answer lists the tool calls it made, such as search_components.

- Switch the Copilot chat to Agent. The tools button lists the tools of the UI Kit, and Copilot calls them while it works.

- Add the entry under mcpServers. Windsurf names the address serverUrl.
- Refresh the server list. The UI Kit appears with its tools, and Cascade uses them in its next run.
After a refresh the server list shows the UI Kit with 14 tools.

- Run the command in your terminal. It writes the entry into the settings of the Gemini CLI.
- Put the entry into ~/.gemini/settings.json for every project, or into .gemini/settings.json in one project. httpUrl means Streamable HTTP.
- Start gemini and type /mcp. The list shows the UI Kit as connected, with its tools and prompts.
/mcp lists the UI Kit as ready, with 14 tools and 5 prompts.

The server hands out knowledge and takes nothing with it. Your assistant stays where it is, and so does your code.
Only reads
No tool writes, no file access outside the data package, no shell and no network calls at runtime.

No sign in, no key, no token. The address is all your assistant needs.
Nothing stored
Nothing from a request is kept. Rate limits use a hash of the address with a salt that changes every day.
Strict input
Every argument is checked against its schema, names against a fixed index, text is cleaned first.

What is an MCP server?
MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is the open standard that lets AI assistants call tools. An MCP server offers such tools. This one offers the components, docs and website knowledge of the UI Kit.
Which AI models work with it?
Every model in a client that speaks MCP over Streamable HTTP. The kit is made for every assistant, Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, Cursor, Codex, Mistral and anything else.
What does the MCP server cost?
Nothing. The server, the components and the CLI are free, the code is under the MIT license. You pay only for the AI assistant you already use.
Does the server see my code or my chats?
No. Your assistant only sends the question it asks the kit, such as a search for a pricing section. The server answers and stores nothing from the request.
Can the server write files into my project?
The public server only reads. Your assistant writes the files itself, or you add the local server of the aiw CLI with npx -y ai-website mcp, which installs components with your approval.
What is the difference to the local server?
The public server needs nothing on your machine and only reads. The local server of the aiw CLI runs in your project and also writes, it creates projects and installs components.
Which frameworks does the code fit?
The components are React and Tailwind. get_install_steps gives the steps for Astro, Next.js and Vite with npm, pnpm or bun.
