8 Best Dog Training Website Templates 2026 (Breeders Included)

Nobody books a dog trainer because of a photo. They book because they understood how the training works and found a class that fits their dog. We compared eight templates on exactly that, plus what they cost over three years and who owns the website afterwards.

Someone searching for a dog trainer usually has a problem that is annoying them right now. The puppy bites the leash, the adolescent pulls, the male reacts to every other dog. The website has a few seconds to say how training works here and whether there is a class for that. Everything else is decoration.

We build websites for dog schools, trainers and breeders. So this list is not a collection of pretty dog photos. It rates each template on how well it answers the questions people ask before the first lesson.

What we looked for

Four criteria, in this order:

  • Does it show the method? A dog school lives on trust in the way it works. The template needs room for training philosophy, process and an honest trainer profile, not just a gallery.
  • Does it carry classes and dates? A class has duration, group size, level and price. Dates have places left. If a template only does this as running text, you maintain every change in three places.
  • What does it cost over three years? A $17 subscription is $612 over three years. That belongs next to every one-time price.
  • Who owns the result? Can you move when the provider raises prices or drops a feature? That is the question nobody asks until it hurts.

1. Fellbrunn, for a dog school with a shop

This is our own product, which is why it comes first. Judge for yourself.

Fellbrunn is built for dog schools that explain first and sell second. Thirty-one finished pages, six classes with a weekly plan and a price, a class finder built from two questions, dates with places left, and a shop with a size adviser for harnesses. It comes as a project folder you open in an AI tool such as Claude Code and rebuild onto your school by chat.

Strong: Classes, dates and products come from data files, one new entry gives you a finished page. The code is yours, host it wherever you like. Pay once instead of renting forever.

Weak: The shop shows products and a basket but no checkout. Anyone really selling connects a shop system. And you work briefly in the terminal, with two commands.

Best for: Dog schools with fixed classes, running dates and gear to sell.

2. Leinenklar, when training can show a number

Also ours. Leinenklar is built for behaviour training where progress is measurable. A protocol in four stages that turns a promise into a measurement, a reactivity check with five questions, and progress curves that include the setback.

Strong: The site argues with progress instead of promises. Twenty-six pages, the same ownership as above.

Weak: For a puppy school with group classes, Fellbrunn is the better fit.

Best for: Trainers for reactivity, fear and everyday behaviour who want to show results.

3. Wedelbrink, for grounds people want to see first

Wedelbrink puts the place up front. A clickable site plan with six zones tells you how large an area is, which dogs it is meant for and which rule applies there. Plus a class finder, a weekly plan with free places and twenty-four finished pages.

Strong: Answers the question no photo gallery answers, namely what it really looks like on site.

Weak: Without grounds or a dog park of your own, the site plan stays empty, so choose Fellbrunn instead.

Best for: Schools with a field, a hall or a dog park, where the visit on site makes the decision.

4. Moorkamp, for breeders with more enquiries than puppies

Moorkamp is the one template in this list built for a breeder. Parent dogs with health results, litters with their status, a waiting list that says honestly how long it is, and an inheritance calculator that will also say no to a pairing. Twenty-five pages, everything from data files.

Strong: Shows proof instead of claims. A new litter is an entry, not a new page.

Weak: No shop, no basket. Enquiry and waiting list are the routes, and a breeder needs nothing more.

Best for: Breeders who want to sort enquiries rather than collect them.

All four sit in the Dogs category of the marketplace, with a comparison table and the questions buyers ask before buying.

5. Wix dog trainer templates

Wix has several templates for dog trainers and pet sitters, each with booking as a module. The editor is the simplest in this list, and booking works on day one.

Strong: Fast start, booking included, no terminal.

Weak: From $17 a month, forever, and the website cannot be taken with you. Classes are text blocks, not data.

Best for: Anyone who wants to be online today and can live with the subscription.

6. Squarespace pet care templates

Squarespace templates for animal care look calm and photographic, with scheduling as an add-on and solid blogging tools.

Strong: Strong design out of the box, good on the phone, reliable hosting.

Weak: Little structure for classes and dates, every change is manual. From $16 a month, and the site stays on Squarespace.

Best for: Trainers whose brand lives on photography and who write little.

7. Zarla dog training templates

Zarla offers free templates for dog trainers and behaviourists, built around a simple editor and a quick launch.

Strong: Free to start, quick to publish, focused on trust-building sections.

Weak: A custom domain and the useful features move you to a paid plan, and the structure stays shallow.

Best for: The first test balloon before you invest.

8. ThemeForest pet themes for WordPress

ThemeForest lists dozens of themes for pet businesses, dog schools and boarding kennels, usually with a booking plugin and a shop.

Strong: One-time price, huge choice, every host knows WordPress.

Weak: Themes age fast, plugins want updates, and the pages are often overloaded. A theme is rarely finished, it is a starting point.

Best for: Anyone already on WordPress who does not mind the maintenance.

How the three routes differ

A website builder is fastest on day one and most expensive in year three. A WordPress theme is cheap and makes you the administrator. A template with your own code costs once, belongs to you, and asks for the terminal in return.

For a dog school, what counts in the end is whether the website answers the question before the first lesson. How is training done here, which class fits my dog, when does it start. The four templates above are built for exactly that. If you would rather not adapt one yourself, we set it up for you.

Frequently asked questions

A finished template sits at €99 once, a website builder at $150 to $250 every year for as long as the site exists, and an agency build for a dog school usually lands between $1,500 and $5,000. Add domain and hosting at roughly $30 to $80 a year. The bigger cost is almost always copy and photos, not the technology.

All eight templates present classes and dates as content. Booking itself runs through a booking system you connect by link or embed, as an add-on module on website builders or as a styled link in a template. What matters is that every class states duration, group size and price before anyone books.

Yes. A breeder answers different questions. Who are the parent dogs, which health results exist, when is the next litter, how long is the waiting list. A dog school shows method, classes and dates. That is why this list includes Moorkamp, a template built for breeders only.

A home page that states the training philosophy in two sentences, one page per class with duration, group size and price, dates with places left, a trainer profile with qualifications, directions and contact, plus your legal pages. A shop or a blog is optional.
